Whooo Hoooo! Dates are marked. This year's vacation begins in Dumfries. Looks like next year's will begin in Storrington.

Many thanks for doing that Steve. I had not realised that the Calendar extended that far into the future!

wow Hamish this sounds amazing!
Can anybody tell me when some of the big concerts typically happen over there? I've heard of Glastonbury Festival......and Tea in the Park up in Scotland.
What about Pride events, what time of year do those occur?

Hi Cloves, I cannot help you with concert dates - they're just not my scene - but here are a few of the many UK Pride dates:
Birmingham 26 May, 2007
Edinburgh 23 June, 2007
London 30 June, 2007
Brighton 4 August, 2007 (This is my nearest Pride, but I've not been for a couple of years)
Why not try Googling for the rest?!

I, too, am interested in joining the gathering. It would be my first trip to the Isles, so I'd plan a week or two, with travels to Wales and Scotland as well. Perhaps I can talk a friend into coming as well.
Multiple planets would have to align, but I think that can be made to happen. This would be the Mother of all Kitchen Passes.

Where 4 Scotsmen gather there'll usually be a fifth.

Hello, Ham.
I missed this thread somehow, but now it has popped up again, let me say I'd love to be there with you all (I hope you will get yourself a bigger garden by then!).
But the date announced is just too close to my annual dance week, when I gather a big crowd of kilties in the Grenoble area, so that is out of the question.
I know your area well (taught at Steyning Grammar a few years ago), and I'm sure you visitors will enjoy it, provided you get them a char-a-banc, since public transport in Sussex is a disgrace!
All the best,
Martin

Eeeki! I missed this thread! Steve told me about it last night at the Victoria Kilt Nite!
Dave and I will _definitely_ be there. And _thank you_ for planning this so far in advance. With this much lead time, I can work around everything else I have to do next summer.
Wooo woooo!!
