I was the one who wrote about the Tripps Kilts being Ugly, in my eyes it is (and I'm sorry for offending anyone). It's just not my style, there are alot of Kilts out there that I'm not a fan of, but others think they're the best. Good for you, that's the point isn't it? To have different opinions about what Kilts we like, and what to wear with them. If we all thought the same this would be a pretty boring Forum.
It doesn't matter what Kilt you by, and from where. If you love wearing the Kilt and where it with Pride, that's all that matters.

I agree completely.
And hopefully more young Scottish people will wise up and start agreeing.
Good for you and a big thank you.

I need to add a thought or two to this. I was damned glad to see a kilt for sale in a mall. It kinda gave me faith in man kind, I know that is strange, but what the heck. Hot topic has 5 or 6 locations in and around denver. All of those saggy pants kids who have no culture, will for the first time see something that may take them off the beaten path. Ugly or not. I don't need to quote a poet here do I?
The other thing, not being a Scot. Quit hoggin' kilts. The only thing my ansestors got from Scotland was blood on their war hammer and some stolen booty (pun intended). Even though my ansestors wore kilts they left the tartans for you scots, just so you'd have somthin' ta fight over! They knew if the scots were busy telling each other how ugly the different tartans (families) are , they would never miss a few young lasses or treasure.
just my two cents.

p.s. welcome to Beuth's progeny "may you rise as fast as your father" and so on. Good choice on the kilts Brother, and future ones as well.

The only time during my first outing my kilt was called a 'skirt' was by someone who didn't know I was kilted and had heard unflattering remarks from a third person...
