I've noticed that to be true. I've worn it to 2 scout meetings and my youth group (which I am a worship leader). heads turn, no one has said anything really.

First time out will be Weekend

Congrat's first of all on your first casual outing.

I will be wearin it to my first kilt night, of which I put together so I could go out in it. Second, the church I attend has not seen me in it. I'm giving a communion meditation in it on Sunday, so that ought to be interesting. I'm using a neat angle to include the tartan.

I'll post pics and update on my first weekend goin' kiltin'

Wear a kilt like you would trousers. Don't make it special, just wear it when you wish. It gets easier. Around here some people exclaim that they have not seen me except in a kilt. I've come to see wearing a kilt as a matter of attitude. If you look like its normal, others will accept that it's normal. Just wear it a lot, and it will be normal.

I agree with Kiltman, wear it like you were born to it. If you do a good number of people won't even notice you are kilted. Odd how the mind works.

    congrats, Doc

Each time gets easier and easier to go out that door. And honestly, has anyone ever had a comment or experience that they couoldn't deal with? I haven't.

I've gone grocery shopping, stopped to get gas or kerosene and worn mine to work. I work in a tool shop. The owner got a kick out of it when he saw me in my SWK. I think kilts are the ultimate in casual wear. The greatest of comfort. Oh that and out drinkin twice. That will get you attention around here. I get "the question" alot when I do that. I have a couple XMarks I'm making specifically for wearing to work.

It is best to wear it out drinking, because the ladies buck up and buy with the opportunity of a peek or feel. Enjoy it!
