About three years ago I built my nephew a small trebuchet, about three feet tall and used different amounts of weights from my weight set, (barbell and dumbells set), as the counter weight. I finally had to disassemble the machine because my nephew was throwing assorted projectiles clear across the street and probably could have knocked someone cold if it hit them. These machines are incredible!
If a woodchuck need Chuck to help chuck the woodchuck would Chuck get some woodchuck if Chuck liked chucked woodchuck..aaaaaaaarrrrgg.. my head.... light fading......suddenly thirsty......
