Our local pub, the Benleva in Drumnadrochit always has a good selection of Scottish real ales and hosts an annual beer festival. It'd amazing how many good small Scottish breweries there are around now. There can be over 30 different beers at the festival !
I managed to try a few of the Cambridge Brewing Company's brews when I visited the MIT last year which were very nice, especially the heather ale.

Seek out Traquair House Ale and Jacobite. I'm a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to Scotch Ale. I consider these two among the very best of the best. Very good, a bit oakey with some dark fruit flavors. They have a very sweet flavor profile that contrasts/compliments very well when paired with spicy drams especially.
They're brewed in the longest inhabited building in all of Scotland, dating back to 1101. It's located in Innerleithen, Peeblesshire.
Check it out! If you find some, let me know what you think!

My favorite Scottish beers are Belhaven, MacEwan's and Tennant's. I also like Harp, but it is an Irish beer.
