Hello from Hortense Georgia
Hello my name is Anthony "Kornbread" Barber. I have just recently started enjoying the freedom of wearing a kilt.I currently own 2 Utilikilts, both originals, one in black and one on olive.Being a South Georgia boy living in the middle of a lot of traditional Southerners i get a lot of strange looks and questions reguarding the kilt I happen to be wearing at the time.I never get upset or angry over the questions and snide remarks.I spent 13 years of my life as a U.S. Marine Infantry and Recon bubba so most things dont bother me. I get a kick out of peoples facial expressions when the see me coming.
Most people see all of my tattoo's and earings and notice my rather large size, I am 6'5 and 275 lbs and a weight lifter, and usually dont have the courage to approach me and ask about my neo-traditional clothing.
I started wearing a kilt after one of my best friends talked to me about how much he enjoyed wearing his.I thought that if they were that comfortable I would try it out.I tryed it and liked it.I wish i had started weaaring a kilt years ago.Now if i can only get them to let me wear one at work.I plan on buying the U.S. Marine tartan kilt very soon.I do have some Scottish, Welsh heritage.Looking forward to enjoying a kilted lifestyle.

Welcome to the neighborhood Kornbread
Former Marine myself, though I was a wingnut at Cherry Point. If you're ever traveling thru the North East part of the state let us know as there are several up this way.

Welcome to the madness.
Not a Marine, but a former US Airman.
And, there are a few of us with tattoos/piercings.
As you can see... some of us more heavily than others...

I'm a Yankee, and only 5'7" and 155 lbs, but we do share a common appreciation of UK's. Welcome to XMTS.
Best regards,
Jake
