Not sure if this is even still around, or was every available outside Scotland . . . Tennant's had a beer called Velvet when I was over there in 1998. We discovered it at a pub in Inverness called The Phoenix. I typically drank Guinness, but my brothers and girlfriend (now wife) really loved the Velvet. They loved it so much, in fact, that they drank the barrel dry during the two weeks that we were there.
Anyone else ever hear of or taste Tennant's Velvet?

Ah, yes. We drank Tennants Velvet 70 shilling in the lounge bar at our hotel in Kyleakin, on Skye. Beautiful stuff. After dinner we had Talisker, of course.
