    Correct Spelling of....

    I've noticed this quite a bit lately (and I admit this is a petty, "who cares" gripe on my part), but because the topics of clans, septs, approved tartans, etc., are commonly dealt with on this forum, please take note that....

    ... the word is spelled CHIEF (or CHIEFTAIN), not "cheif."

    Thus endeth the lesson...!

    Since this thread relates to heraldry & tartans, I've moved it into that section -- hope you don't mind.

    Believe me, I sympathise -- as Bubba is quick to point out, one of my pet peeves is the nickname of the Royal Highland Regiment, The Black Watch -- two words.

    I find a regular treatment of Gunpowder Green Tea helps, coupled with shouting at the TV on occasion. I'm told a couple of fingers of a 12-year old single malt has been found to work wonders, too.
