No Pants Day is May 4th

I have put this in off topic because is isn't completely kilt-related as such.

Did you know there is a No Pants Day?

But they don't seem to think that wearing a kilt is a good enough thing to do alas!

Yeah. Not that we really need an excuse to wear a kilt, I will most definitely be wearing mine on that day.

I did raise the point in the FAQ section and got a quick reply..

    "
    Trefor Heywood (11:00:04) :

And what pray do kilts have to do with pants? For many kilt wearers this would be an ideal opportunity to celebrate a day off from trouser tyranny!

    Roy (11:03:05) :

    Trefor,

The good news is that this is a holiday, and as such, no one owns it. So celebrate in whatever way you see fit. And tell your friends."

So we can see fit to wear a kilt!

What are boxers if they aren't pants?

On a less serious side, I've always wanted to strip trousers and underwear off every time I see the sign "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" and just walk in with a shirt and shoes on. Maybe this is the excuse I need.

This is from the FAQ on the site!

So I can wear a skirt instead? or “Hey, no problem, I was gonnawear a dress anyways!
You’re very clever, but you’re missing the point. Articles of clothing like skirts, shorts, kilts, and dresses don’t count, because people are encouraged to revel in the absence of pants, and not replace pants with other clothing. The point is to relax and enjoy the humor inherent in people not wearing pants.A good rule of thumb is to pretend like you were going to wear pants, and then just fail to put them on.
I think they just don't get it!

That's why I raised the query on the FAQ page!

And I added a further comment:

    "Thanks for that Roy.

It means that kilt wearers can celebrate No Pants Day in both the American and the British meanings of the word! ;)"

Some of the pics in the gallerys made my eyes hurt. I think I'll stick to the kilt.
