Gentlemen, some bad news. The Iranian government has claimed that these captives have now "confessed" that they illegally entered Iranian waters. I hope they are simply lying, though the last group they took, in 2004, was forced to confess, blindfolded, on camera.

I know how much torture they would have to use on me to get me to say any such thing. My sympathies go out, to them, and to their families.

May they return soon.
