You know you gotta.

That's why I'm doing it. My grandfather was in the first wave to storm the beaches at Normandy.

Well, it seems my kilt fund got sidetracked. Something about replacing the HVAC for 26 times the cost of a kilt I guess I'll just have to catch the next one.

I think he was looking for what color hose to wear with the US Army tartan (unless I'm seriously crossing my threads... which would make for a houndstooth vice a plaid, no?)

SORRY: I meant Hose I had posted a "What hose do you think goes with Army Tartan" in kilt Advise.

What's wrong with y'all. Red Socks goes with Army Red. As in REDLEGS!
Don't know about flashes. That's pushing the limits of my fashion sense.

Ah, it's amazing what passes for "esprit d corps" in some branches of service... still, better to make the attempt than not to try at all, one supposes...

To the lads and lasses of "Molly Pitcher's Branch," thanks for the supporting fires!
Seriously though, I can't think of any better way to wind up looking like a lollipop or a Christmas tree gone REALLY wrong than to wear the Army tartan with red hose - branch sensibilities notwithstanding.
