Sadly at the moment I am currently without a bike and have been for about 1.5 years. I am hoping to be able to get another one next summer. I have owned 3 bikes. My first was a 1998 Honda CBR600F3 Smokin' Joes edition, which I loved but wanted something a little bigger. The 2nd was a 2001 Honda CBR929RR, which was my favorite of the 3. The last one was a 2003 Ducati Monster 1000Sie Senna. This was a very close 2nd to the 929. I had 2 complaints about it - primarily it was not as comfortable as the 929 despite being more upright. I got pain in my forearms after about 2 hours of riding, and my rear hurt after about 3. I could ride that 929 all day long and the only thing that ever suffered was my knees. .......................snip....................... ..... google up a pair of Draggin Jeans. They're jeans with kevlar woven in and some padding in the joints. They look and wear like jeans but will still offer decent protection in a crash.
    EVEN MORE off topic.

    Ever ride a ZRX1200R?

I've put several 900 mile days in on mine and it's comfy. Will give you what you liked about the other bikes performance wise too, but at a lower RPM. If you're ever in my area, drop me a line, you can take if for a spin. Well, that is if Lynn isn't out on it. I swear she puts more miles on my bike than hers.

Draggin Jeans are awsome. Lynn and I both wear them.

Pretty similar to what I had before. I do enjoy naked bikes quite a lot. Visually they are my favorite type. Admittedly, I am not a big Kawasaki fan. I am really a Honda guy through and through.

I have also thought about something a bit bigger - A Suzuki Hayabusa or Kawi ZX-14. I have a couple friends with Hayabusas and they swear it's the best combination of strong performance, good handling and long distance comfort.

Of course being a Honda guy I'm kind of hoping they'll finally remodel the CBR1100XX ..
