Jim, I accidently dribbled a bit on my sketch book once at a sessuin, then doodled the splat into a little man Coffee or tea work well for washes, even along with watercolor. Guinness is a bit sugary, so it'll leave a sheen on the paper in areas where you layer it on for the deeper tones. I usually condense it first, by leaving it in a small cup for a day or so, or even microwaving a bit. Not sure how this medium'll hold up over time, because of the sugars. I hope ants don't decide to chew on the drawings!

Thanks for your vote! Don't get me goin' about my competitor!! You DON'T want to go to his website. But you really ought to vote for his work, too. Give him your honest opinion. ~ A

P.S. No offense, but not sure if Kilts will be a big vote getter on an artist's site. Unless you wanna pose standing over an updraft :butt:

I don't do fests. My show at the IAHC was during the summer Irish fest, but it was inside in the gallery. My works are all originals - no prints. Fickle weather isn't good for it. ~ A

OK. Good idea but I just spent 1/2 hour trying to resize the image for the avatar, and once it was an acceptable size for this site it was so tiny it was unrecognizable. Any ideas what I'm dong wrong? Or is it just the site? Thanks ~ Alice
