Thanks Glen, just heard from Daniel, Canadians are waking up (I'm not saying here that Canadians are sleepy, dull, lazy or stupid, I refer to the time difference...just to be clear).
Daniel, is staying in Banff, he likes it there, thanks anyway Steve.
He is staying with friends from church and will find other work. I think wanting to come home was a reaction, a natural one.
I've emailed the ski resort to explain that they are very wrong about him.
a reminder too that he has posted photos on my online album if anyone wants to see them (link below).
I'm hoping to get to Canada next year, mostly likely Ontario and Nova Scotia.

I'll email him and see if he likes the idea of Victoria.
Having spen a fair amount of time in both places, I think he would enjoy Victoria. Banff is a wonderful town, but seeing as it is tourist based, it can be a bit much for people living and working there. If he wants to stay on at a ski resort, why not tell him to go to one of the best in Canada (if not the world)....Whistler/Blackcomb

Thanks Colin, I have another Tassie friend who worked at Whistler, she really loved it. I'll pass it on.

Not suprising Graham, as Whistler is heavily staffed with Aussies and Kiwis. I have often wondered if there is actually anyone between the ages of 15-30 left in the South Pacific

Hi, Graham. I just woke up and got to work. I really hope that things work out for Daniel. That's a tough thing to have happen even when you're at home and have support close by, but even harder when you're by yourself in another country.
