			Sporran decorating

Hello I was wondering that does any one here have instructions and knowledge to do sporran decoration? By this I mean anykind of. I bought my sporran a week ago or so and it's a bit plain. Would want to add some "spices" to it. And how is the sporran attached to the kilt? Mines just couple of chains.... Which must go!
 Any ideas and info ?

As far as how to wear the sporran, you could always go get yourself a thin belt, I would say check out women's belts as they tend to have thinner ones, or you could PM Cavscout, or Robert from Rkilts.
For decoration I would have to say you should think about how you want it to look first give it some serious thought and resarch what looks good on other sporrans, then go for it.

Can you post a picture of your sporran? Maybe that will help generate some good suggestions for you! (Nice to know the "canvas" you're working with, you know.)

It would help to focus ideas if we know what type of sporran you are starting with.
Here is my Buzz Kidder sporran where I just swapped out the tassels with Horse Hair. You can also see the sporran strap has replaced the chain.

Have you though of stopping by Goodwill or a thrift shop to see if they have a round or oval broach? Pin or affix this to the flap.
