Interesting timing of this post. I just ordered a kilt from them today so I can keep the forum informed about customer service and quality of the kilt when it comes in. As mentioned by Cavscout, I also read somewhere that these kilts come from Stillwater's source but that is not a claim that Frugal Corner makes. I initially looked into these guys for one reason, they are beginning to offer Keith modern tartan. I have previously been unable to find Keith tartan kilts in anything but wool and my budget does not allow for wool at this point. After exchanging 4 e-mails over the last several days (I know I am a PIA customer ) I will say that the service so far has been very good. They have always responded the same day the message was sent and seeing that they have not received any kilts in Keith yet they offered to have one made in my size, send me the picture of the tartan, and then let me decide if I want it or not (I had some fears about buying a newly woven tartan as I've seen some of the **** kilts look a bit bright.) Sounds like a win-win situation.
They do offer some tartans that others don't and more importantly, they offer custom sizing orders. I noticed that some of their Ebay listings are now custom size and choice of 8 tartans for $71 + shipping. I know I might not get much for $71 but at least I'll have a Keith kilt that I can afford.

I'd be interested in the review.
I'm in search of a solid black kilt for under $150 (ie. stillwater or a USA casual) so if these guys can do the shadow tartan in wool they are in the running.

The Frugal Corner
Greetings from one of the Owners at THE FRUGAL CORNER, We do indeed get our kilts from some of the same vendors as Stillwater and as a matter of fact we once received some kilts with the SWK label inside. After that, We decided to start getting the kilts made with "THE FRUGAL CORNER" labels.
It is nice to see that some of you are very loyal to Jerry but don't assume bad thngs about us due to that loyalty or the fact we ARE NOT SWK. We are trying to fill in some empty space in the market place by offering custom kilts made to size and tartans that others are not offering.
Every business has its pricing strategy and I am sure some items we offer are less expensive then some other sellers.
As far as the customer comments on our website...they are directly from customer on ebay and the pictures are from a customer that bought 5 kilts for his band. We value honesty and straight dealing. We do our best to provide a provide a great product at a fair price with exceptional customer service.
As far as negative comments about us on other websites that would be kiltmen.com and the comments were not made by a customer and other posters actually came to our defense.
For those that like another vendor..wonderful we hope they treat you well and you enjoy a long relationship with them.
Hopefully years from now we will have developed the same type of following that SWK enjoys. I will say that we have sold a few kilts to some of his past customers and they have had nothing but praise for the products we offer
Any Way.. lets all promote the wearing of kilts and enjoy our Scottish roots.

While some pakistan kilts as poorly made, we do not do business with those weavers.
202 ebay comments
200 positive
1 negative (Slow Shipping {they gave us the wrong address]
1 neutral (we could not deliver ontime and refunded the money)...
if we were selling the poorly made kilts we would have many more negative comments

Mark, I'm glad you chimmed in.
I'm curious about your solid black kilts. Do they have the shadow tartan in them or are they just solid black? Also, are your kilts available in wool or are they all acrylic?
Best of luck and welcome to the neighborhood ![Cheers!](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_beer.gif)
