If you don't count a kilted pub crawl in Dumfries I'd say 3 or 4 times. More often at night rather than after work deals. Usually a band playing and the celebrants are more er....celabratory. Do do that very often... maybe I should.

My wife and I got a dram of McAllen 12yo the last time we visited Austria. Don't go to pubs very much back here in the states.

drinks arent the only thing we get for free!!

when I went to vegas not only did I get free drinks....but a pit boss from Harra's casino gave me a deck of cards....and my friend wanted to visit Cheetah's gentlemans club...I didnt really want to go ( didnt have that kind of cash to waste)so he paid for me to get in, I bought a WAY overpriced small pitcher of beer, and played casual observer for awhile.

a very nice lady walking by me saw I was wearing my kilt, grabbed my arm and whisked me back to the VIP room ( $50 just to get in there) and......kept me back there for about 45 mins.

while my friend wasted about $250 for the same ammount of time, I got away "Scot free" for the price of a pitcher!!

ahh the good ol days BW (before wife)

Hell, I'm only 20 (which is under the drinking age in the US), but that hasn't stopped me from getting lots of free beer! Both on campus and at the bars. The kilt is magic...

Only happened to me in general a couple of times.

However, I can confirm your first pint at Nicholson's (Scottish themed restraunt/pub) is free when kilted (bartenders are good about this, wait staff is not).

    Rocky,

I think giving a free beer with every USA Kilt is a really great idea and a wonderful gesture on your part...

    WHAT!

That's not what the poll is about?

    darn!

    Cheers

My wife gets all the free beer. I don't think she's ever had to buy her own, but I'm not complaining. It's savin me a few bucks.
