Kilted on the Cruise
Just a few days ago I got back from my 12 night cruise of the eastern Mediterranean aboard the Carnival Freedom. We had stops in Italy, Greece and Turkey. I of course wore my kilt for formal night and it got a lot of attention.
I think every person from the Japanese contingent aboard took my picture, as well as several other folks. I was even interviewed on video by one of the entertainment staff because I had on the kilt. A table mate was certainly surprised when an attractive lady approached our table and asked if she could have a picture taken with the kilted man. He said maybe he should get a kilt.
Here's a picture I had taken with some lovely ladies from Miami. They said they had to get their picture taken with the man in the kilt. I agreed, but only if they let me have a picture as well. Unfortunately, I forgot the flash, so the picture is kind of dark. I did try to lighten it up, but there's only so much you can do.
I had spent time with these ladies before. They were on a couple of tours with me, and we spent time at the karaoke parties on board.
In case you're wondering, the medal I'm wearing is a Carnival medal I received for participating in the talent show the night before. Everyone received one. I figured I wouldn't have anyplace else to wear it, so I put it on for formal night.

Nice pic. I like the look of the medal with your formal kit. It looks like the Order of the British Empire or something! You should hang on to it, and claim you were recently knighted in reward for your contributions to fashion.

There's only one thing more powerful, and the ladies have a corner on the market for that.
Glad you had a good time. I've also enjoyed my kilt on cruises; it's magical.
