So, I was talking to my girlfriend and she asked how many full time kilties there are (specifically American). I'll put an option for American full timers and part timers and the same 2 options for everyone else (sorry to discriminate). This started because of a debate about people with no Scottish heritage wearing kilts. I think I found the root of the problems I was having with her earlier... the misconception that you have to be a Scot to wear a kilt... Thanks in advance everybody! --Sol Edit: decided to include ancestry as a part of the poll options for a more comprehensive study. Edit again! : The options for Non-Americans should be with for the first two choices and without for the Second two choices! Sorry for the confusion. Little help Mod? Please?

I'm Canadian (English born) and I'm part-time kiltie. I don't factor in your query other than I have absolutely no Scottish connection that I'm aware of. My ancestry is English going further back than tea and crumpets.
Part timer with Scottish roots!
Paul Murray Kilted in Detroit! Now that's tough.... LOL

I'm mostly in the same boat with you, apparently my history is Welsh or English I've seen at least two sets of families with my surname (Horton) one from Wales and the other from England.
American, Scots ancestory, part time kiltie! But, working on it full time. Wife thinks I am nuts!! I may be but I like it!

How do I edit this poll? I was informed that I did the non-American part wrong! It would read with for the first 2 non responses and without for the second 2 responses!

You have the celtic connection with the Welsh. I'm so English that when I sip my tea my little finger juts out automatically and at the correct angle. You do have celtic blood in you and have every right to wear your kilt with pride.
Part timer, Canadian, Scottish & Irish roots ...where's my voting option? Full Non American w Scot or; Part Non American w/o Scot or; Full Non American w Scot or; Part Non American w/o Scot? How about Part Time Non-american with Scottish Heritage, pole biased? LOL Cheers Dave
