Sgian Brew... classic. I carry a bottle opener on my keychain all the time....always prepared! For those of you without such oddities, a sgian brew can go a long way.

It would take pretty long socks.

You've seen pens and pencils?

When I carry one, I put a pen or pencil in my sock. I learnt it from my Dad who used to do it because they would fall out of his shirt pocket. I've never seen anyone else put pens or pencils in their sock, though.

The titanium spork is quite possibly the most important eating utensil ever devised.

It's pure genius. Eating, serving, scratching, it does it all.

Ah, but I actually have one :-) D is a little big. The one in my avatar is D, the standard baroque flute. I have one an octave higher, thus half the length. It's a little long, fat, and heavy because it's made of ebony, and wooden flutes have to be rather thick-walled.
Drobin, a garklein is getting to be the right size. It would be about half the length of the little flute.

That's what I was thinking of! I only have one in C, a touch longer than the D flute but it's much lighter and skinnier. I'm strictly a novice at whistle.

Um, actually I do carry a pennywhistle in my hose top on occasion (my knife is elsewhere,) and, as fluter pointed out, a "D" is a bit large. I have a tiny one in "G" which fits perfectly. But I'm pretty sure I did NOT start that scary story...

P.S. also I find titanium chopsticks slightly more versatile.
