    During my first pipe band parade I had to have another person tie my shoes for me! They kept coming undone as we marched.

    I think it gets better with practice (or maybe tiny hidden safety pins !!).

    Could have been worse. I know a piper whose underpants once fell down to his ankles during a march. One very good reason to go regimental.

    I never wear ghillie brogues...I don't like them (to say it mildly)

    Brogues(wingtips) or buckle shoes are much nicer imho.

    Glad experience wasnt a bad one .To be honest I am not really a fan of the whole ghillies look.I think kilts actually look better with a nice shoe or boot.Thats just me and my opinion as a onlooker lol.
