I don't own one, but have seen a lot for sale by BK vendors at Highland Games...the one thing in common is the aforementioned wrinkles...even when presented for sale.
My guess is that they would respond well to my weighted clip technique of hang drying - saving the ironing - which works for my UKs and AKs which are similar fabric.
Just duct tape two half ounce lead fishing weights to each side of a clip. I use hanger clips from WalMart but suppose a clothes pin would work as well. After washing the kilt I hang it and clip the weighted clips to the bottom of the pleats.
The kilt pleats dry with a light weight pulling them into shape. Takes less time to put on the clips than to fire up an iron and wrestle with the kilt.
