    Very interesting. I had seen the Lochcarron operation where they weave the old and rare on a hand loom. It's interesting to compare that with a more 'industrial' scale.

    Thanks for the inside view.

    Maybe not quite the 1500s. A cut and sew factory I worked at back in the mid 1960s was using the latest techology...multi-head embroidery machines controlled by a punch card tape similar to what you showed...

    Also helps me understand how they can do custom weaving.
