Hello All, from Sunny Ireland!
Just dropping in to say hi! We're just outside the beautiful village of Mulranny, on Clew Bay in County Mayo. I can see the Holy Mountain and Clare Island (home of Grace O'Malley, the pirate-queen)from the studio window where I'm staying and teaching.
It's been an amazing adventure thus far, when I get back to the States I'll post a few pics of my kilted adventures abroad. In the past week and a half I've acquired an Aran sweater, 10 pounds (geez, I love Irish breakfasts), and a fiance. I'll post about the proposal later.
And for all my kilted friends here on the forum, we went to the local pub and I hoisted a pint of Guiness in your honor and toasted all of us.
I hear the roast lamb calling... later all!

Hey congrats on gaining a wife and 10lbs all in one trip. I would say you are doing well.
How is kilt wearing being taken by the local Irish?

Sounds good. A lovely spot for a holiday striking love too is a bonus. I'd be interested to know how the local Irish take to the kilt, having visited Eire in both 2005 and 2006 and not seen a single kilt on either visit, and I'm planning to be in Northern Ireland for 3 days next month for my mother's cousin's 90th birthday bash at Lurgan Castle and planning to go kilted.
