Well this sucks...
Last night, a friend of mine was giving me a ride home. We were going through an intersection and somebody pulls in front of us, totalling my friend's car. The truck speeds off, and my friend and I are stuck there at 2:00 am. My friend, thank God, walks away, and he helps me climb through the window.
So, my friend is down one car, paying more insurance, and I'm here with a cracked rib, whiplash, and a messed up knee.
Worst part? Doc tells me I can't play my pipes for a month. A MONTH. This is terrible. Right at the beginning of parade season!
Man, I hope they catch the &!#$*&s that ran. That's a felony, and I hope they get thrown in jail.

Man, that does suck! The good news is that things can be replaced. The irreplaceable (you and your friend) are ok. Count your blessings!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Yeah, if I wasn't wearing my seatbelt, I might not be here right now....

Sorry to hear about the accident, but at least you and your friend were not seriously hurt, I bet the month away wont be that bad.

At least the doctor didn't say, "You can't wear a kilt for a month!"
Glad you are both ok. Maybe his insurance won't go up if it was the other guys fault. Hope somehow they are caught.
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

Man I am sorry to hear about the wreck, and your injuries. All I can say is live, learn and make do...

Glad you're still around. Sorry to hear you can't play, but better around and not able to play than what might've been.

Good that you're relatively OK. Sorry about the piping but well...ya know...it could have been a lot worse. Go have a drink and think about it.

...and there's a lot of ways you can use the "downtime" productively...some research and finding some new tunes to play when all is well.
Glad that your injuries are relatively minor...hate to hear that it was any more serious.
Maybe God looks out for fools, drunks and pipers.*

*...I better qualify that. You would be the PIPER in that expression...
