I just got one from frugal corner, a clergy tartan... but my girlfriend really wants a puppy, so no kilts until we find a German shepherd pup. Good luck to who ever bids on that on though :-D

I just wish the sellers would put up the hip sizing on ebay. That's really the critical factor. The right waist dies't help if the hips are too tight or loose.

Good point. So, just click the button and "Ask Seller a Question"!

I'm just tired of doing that - but if the starting price were lower by half, I would. If I get into a bidding war at a $200 starting price I's just as soon spend the extra and get it made to mymeasurements instead of hoping that someone else was my size.

Boy, they don't do it justice putting on a bucket to display...suppose its better than laying it out. Beautiful tartan for sure.
Tell you what, if them material is 16oz strome (it looks like it maybe) that's a heck of a deal. Don't think her website is updated yet but got an email from Kathy Lare last week that she's "had" to raise her prices a bit. Seems she was the least expensive hand sewer around and realized her costs had gone up a lot. Think she said her new price was going to be about $600 - but not sure. I'm down in Hopi this weekend and can't access that email.
Point is - if it fits anyone- be for grabbing that beauty. It'll last a lifetime.
What a steal if the size is right.

A good dog might just be the single most important kilt accessory you can buy. Spend a little extra if need be for something special.

I think that a lot of these sellers don't handle too many kilts and aren't aware that there is a hip measurement unless it's printed on the label.
