I was wondering about the word decimated also, it's origin...every tenth (Roman) soldier killed as a punishment for the unit's cowardly performance.
Now the word (in the Dutch language anyway) is used to point out extreme loss or casualties as in "almost wiped out". Started the day with over 60 pins...23 left for day 2. My thistle pins were all gone within an hour. I might be able to finish a few new pins during the day.
Got invited for a celtic 3 days festival in Belgium in September
The green guys (goblins?) kept the place clean.
