Moving to Tahlequah, OK
Our home is due to close escrow at the end of June, good lord willing. We want to move to Tahlequah, OK when that happens. If any of you know of a place there we can buy please contact me. We're looking for a place where we can have our home and business. Thanks.

Sorry to see you go after just getting to know you here in Nor-Cal. Don't know much about Oklahoma besides just passing through Tulsa this next September. Good luck to you and your family.

My wife grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma but has spent the last 10 years here in Pennsylvania. When I asked her where Tahlequah was and explained that I was just curious because someone on the forum was moving there, her reply was that she wouldn't wish living in Oklahoma on anyone . Good luck with your move.
I looked at home prices on our last visit to Lawton and was astounded at how cheap everything was. Hopefully it is the same on the other side of the state.

i wouldn't wish living in that section of oklahoma on anyone either. where i'll be going is a completely different kind of country. it's the foothills of the ozarks. having said that, i have to mention that if it's poisonous and lives in north america it probably lives in oklahoma. and the tornadoes...
all places have their good and bad points. the best point from my perspective is that i am from oklahoma. i love it there and it will be going home for me.

if you get back there again give me a holler. tahlequah is about an hour from tulsa to the east. we'll figure out a way to meet if you like. i'll probably be busting at the seams to show off our new place.

Best wishes with your move!
My grandparents had a farm near Tahlequah when I was a boy (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, as my kids say) . . . I remember many enjoyable trips to visit them . . . white water rafting down one of the rivers (Arkansas?), picking wild plums for jelly (yum!), exploring the woods.
