Well! I hope you guys are satisfied! Now I've gone and ordered a Black Stewart Thrifty Kilt, to 'Christen' SWK new website.
Sigh! I have no willpower! (But I can't wait to wear it to the Supermarket!).

Absolutely rocking! I've dealt with SWK four or five (or six) times and it's always been a first class transaction all the way. Good pricing and good value, absolutely stellar customer service. I think everyone who would like to see kilts become more popular should "think good vibes" towards Jerry at SWK. He has done SO much here in the States to make "pretty much real kilting" a practical reality. Fine, hand tailored garments from the finest wool? No. Then again, how many of the suits sold in America are fine, hand tailored garments from the finest wool? I'd stack SWK kilts up against most off the rack suits in America for terms of quality, and take odds.
Guys, we're talking about half the price of a SportKilt, here. I've got some older SKs, and an economy SWK. I've gotten far more use from the economy SWK than the SKs, it feels more like a kilt to me (just my opinion) and I like the way it hangs and swishes and resists wrinkles better than the SK. In fact, I've taken the buckles and straps off of that one (about a year ago) and replaced it with two patches of velcro. I think the ThriftyKilt is gonna be a hit.
Way to go. I love it.

I'll definately be getting my son another kilt now (and maybe another for daddy as well). I notice they don't carry PV kilts anymore, too bad. I liked them better than acrylic.

Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

Say as long as we're talking about SWK----why oh why is the Nightstalker Sporran on the SECOND PAGE of the SWK webstore sporran section? Talk about hiding your light under a bushel . . .

Ok, so I was sucked in as well...
While I await my Christie Modern (special weave Strome) from Celtic Craft Centre, I just couldn't resist and ordered up a Nightstalker standard...and a Buzz Kidder sporran....and a couple extra pairs of socks...and the sporran suspenders....then my fiance came in and applied the emergency brake.
Anyway, I guess the new site works!

Based on this thread I ordered a Thrifty-Kilt in the MacLeod Hunting. This will be my first kilt. I went for it despite the rolling eyes of my spouse; she'll just have to see me in it to be convinced, I guess.
I am sure this won't be the last!

Great work and I hope the market responds well! Maybe my boys will get excited about kilts when they see the Grandfather Games!

You think you have no will power. Heck I bought three. I would have bought 2 for my boys but I don't know their measurements. That will have to wait untill I get home.

I'd really like to see more details about the leather jacket and the Nightstalker sporran is not there.
Other than that, the site is good.
