I wear my UK to the pub, never have to worry about forgetting to tuck. The saddle pockets are less fiddley than the sporran-which generally refuses to give up it's contents when needed.

I would like to also state that I enjoy my UK. I have been to my local "watering" hole and have been very comfortable(sp?). int:

Of course, the apron is not the only reason I love my UKs.

    Reason #2

Washing them. The other week I was grading a large pile of students' papers. I made myself a nice large mug of tea. Carelessly, I knocked the tea over. The very hot liquid caught the edge of the pile, but mostly ended up in my lap! I was wearing my black UK mocker. Quick as a flash the klt was off and in the washing machine. I started to dry the students' papers with a hair dryer. By the time I had finished clearing up the damage the UK was washed, dried and back on. Not even ironed. The pleats are quite amazing.

the reason I love my UK.......I ALWAYS get a compliment on it when I wear it. I've had it for two years, and have worn it alot, and it never fails,....... wear the UK, and somebody will say it's cool.

I love my uk's as well, to me they are all things edgy and libertine! nothing says "I'll do what I like!" as well as a uk and some big toe stompin' boots! They (uk's) also can be quite tame if the need arises, It never has for me. see ya
