Kilt I own: I have a Sportkilt Blackwatch to compete in Highland games.

Kilts to get next: As soon as I can, I'm going to get a USA Kilts Robertson because it's Family.
And a Metropolitan Atlanta Police Emerald Society Kilt, because I'm a member.

    My tartans:

MacAbre (nod to Hamish): black was cheap for my first kilt

Irelands national: I saw it on Hamish and my wife gave it to me for christmas

Warrior(MartonMills): The Colours of Passion, Death and Resurrection are the colours of a Warrior for Christ

Campbell of Cawdor: I just liked it

Cairn (MartonMills): This was the black and white tartan chosen by my son for the father-and-son kilts

Ramsay blue: just cool colours (not yet finished)

Ben dubh (MartonMills black shadow tartan): for my parents 40th wedding day

    Your Tartan and Why?

This thread has been very interesting to read, and I am so envious of those of you who own multiple kilts, my entry will be short.

    Tartan(s) I have:
MacLaren modern, Petrie on my father's mother's side.

    Tartans I want:
Edinburgh District dress, for my surname, want to wear to my daughter's wedding, want to do the whole PC thing.

Scottish National and Spirit of Scotland....... because I like them.
    Black Watch for pub crawls.

I hope Hamish doesn't see this thread........we'll be here all day!

Lindsay Tartan- because it was kilt kit! And I liked it
Black Watch- good price and it fit at that time
New York City TartanMade specifically for me, [Lochcarron]- I live in NY and did not like the Western New York Tartan, and the meanings behind it.
Night Stalker (Stillwater)-thought it looked cool, and wanted to check out their products
Irish Saffron (Stillwater)[100 wool]-Liked it, an ode to part of my Celtic heritage, its fast becoming my favorite!
MacDonald- ebay, cost was favorable, and I liked the tartan, and ode to Monarch of the Glenn.
??-so many others to choose from..... maybe by Christmas, i will have a new one...

I only have two tartan kilts:

Black watch - a Stillwater standard, this was my first tartan kilt.

MacKenzie - A Stillwater economy, when I saw that Jerry had a few of these available, i snapped one up. My father wears a MacKenzie kilt in honor of a friend of our family. I thought it was a nice sentiment and a wonderful show of friendship on my father's part, so it means alot to me too.

    In the future i'll have....

x-marks - I'll wear that with pride once it's finally made.

    on my wish list are:

MacKinnon - For my partner's family.

Prosser - For my mother's family. Derek was kind enough to send me a swatch from the Welsh tartan center and it's just beautiful. But very, very expensive.

Irish national - the surname is Ryan. I come from county Cork Ireland.

Hunting Wallace - I wanted a kilt. I didn't know where to get one, so I turned to the Ren fair. all they had was hunting Wallace. just glad it was an actual tartan.

I hope to get the county Cork tartan and the clergy tartan.

At the present time I only have one and that is a Black Watch from Stilwater Kilts, I picked that one because I liked the tartan, Seeing as I am still attempting to trace my Scottish roots I am not sur e what my next one will be, but I do want to get an Irish Natiponal from Stillwater Kilts.
