    The Jonesing is over!

    Ok, I ordered my pipe chanter about a week ago and it finally got here. I am very happy with it, except I am finding it harder to play than previously imagined. hehe. oh well, I am going to be working on it. I can already feel a noticeable change in my mouth blowing structure, as it is a bit sore.

    but earlier in the day a wonderful little package arrived in the mail. it was from mbhandy. It contained some things to really make me not look like a fool.

    let yourself be the judge:

    Looking good. Great that he helped another kiltie out! Keep at that chanter, the progression is certainly rewarding. It can be relaxing and stress relieving as well.

    Thanks guys!
    I am really excited about the chanter, but I am in dire need of a privet instructor. I can rip up and down the "scale" but I am having some trouble with the grace notes.

    now, the cool thing about that hat, I got that friday at a garage sale, it still had a kohl's tag on it, it's made by dockers and I payed 50 cents. the tag clearly said it had costed $25 a little over 3 weeks ago. that was really exciting.

    thanks guys.

    Casey,

    I would suggest wearing your sporran a bit lower (at least 2 1/2 inches). It will look much better.

    Cheers

    Embouchure is the technical term.

    thanks, I was going to use that term however, being dsylexic like I am, (see picture at top of topic and you might be able to see the bifocal line) I have never been able to spell that word correctly. I also use Mozzila Firefox that has a built in spell checker, it tells me I am wrongs but can't do anything about it. but thanks. also, using the word embouchure gives me this ominous feeling that I am undoing the mouth structure that I worked hard to learn for trombone. haha.
