I can't believe the ending!! Who would have ever guessed that HArry Potter was really Keyser Soze?!?

Just kidding. Valdemort revealed himself to be Harry's father right before he and Harry defeated the Emperor and the empire and the rebel forces blew up the 2nd version of the Deathstar.

Please bear in mind that some of us Yanks will be holding out for the Urtext, and some will be late for whatever reason; shoot, someone may not have read the first one yet! Give us spoiler alerts if appropriate.

As noted elsewhere, I want my motors to have bonnets and headmasters to have sherbet lemons, thank you very much. Not to mention the unforgivable mangling of the first volume's title...

Usually I've waited for a trip to the UK, and just picked up any published since the last trip. Yup, one can wait quite a long time with that system! This time I think I'll Amazon.com it.

I actually enjoy the movie versions because of the locations. I often find that I am concentrating more on the background and wishing I was there. I'm not talking about the special effects, but the real scenes of Scotland and England.

Yeah; the scene in Order of the Phoenix where they're flying over London made me very nostalgic for the days when I lived in Hammersmith.

Some of the Harry Potter films were shot at Alnwick castle(pronounced annik) not far from Newcastle. Here are a couple of photos I took on a visit recently.
This is the castle as you approach

This is inside the curtain wall and was seemingly where they filmed those scenes where they fly about on broomsticks (sorry my Harry Potter knowledge is abysmal)

This is another view from the curtain wall. Sorry about the quality, maybe some magic going on.

No Hamish, you're not alone. I have never read either set of books or seen any of the films.

It may be that it is just the two of us though!
