Excellent pictures Arlen and what a proud kilted achievement! You are probably one of a select few who has done it in a kilt!
Isn't it just typical that the clouds obscure the view from the top when they don't when you are down below?
Watched an excellent programme last night with Gryff Rhys-Jones climbing a Monro in Sutherland where he had the same cloudy problem!

Thanks for all the great comments and supports.
I've bagged a few before. Lochnagar, Liathach in Torridon, Ben Macdui and Schiehallion.
I still have a lot more to do, though.
It was a great and worthwhile trip and, regardless of the foggy view, I'm happy to have done it.
I can always do it again another year when the summer is wonderful.

Thanks for sharing the piccies, it's a climb I would love to do, we considered it when we were last in Scotland, alas, not enough time.

Well done, Arlen, I must have missed your original post or I would have sent you sponsorship for your fundraising, PM me where to post my cheque.
I've climbed Ben Nevis by the easiest route when I was younger and fitter, but not kilted. Even in June I wouldn't have been able to complete the final part to the summit without the aid of a compass once I went up into cloud and the path disappeared under the snow.

Well, that is quite an outing, Arlen! Hiking in the mountains kilted is a good experience, and the weather you experienced on the top is certainly (in my opinion/experience) is by far more fascinating than a cloudless day - though they are OK, too...
The cause is very worthy - and it makes it so much closer to heart when you post a photo report

The mist really didn't make it very unearthly and interesting. And it was a wonderful climb.
Something I will always remember.
Alex, you can donate to the fund by going to their web page here.
Every little helps. It all goes to helping people pay for their treatment, hospital stays and everything else that's needed.
Thanks for wanting to donate.
I'm very lucky in knowing how to navigate fairly well. It was something we learned in Cadets and I've used on many outings.

Fantastic looking climb. I wish it were a bit cooler and had more peaks here in central Texas. I was sweating buckets just from the mini pub crawl yesterday.
