Kilt Length
From a historical perspective--- leaving aside modern fashion aberrations (kilt as man's skirt, e.g. Anders Landinger, Jean-Paul Gaultier and others) and casual settings-- kilts have been "properly" worn in length from around mid-thigh to nearly covering the kneecap. Current decorum puts the length span from mid-knee to 3 inches above the knee. Most (myself included) consider top-of-the knee to a inch or two above the knee as "de rigueur".
