Those that really know me think of me as the guy who brews beer and likes to go to the firing range... Those that only somewhat know me know me as the guy with longish hair and tattoos and loves loud rock music. On top of that there's a certain veneer of "geek" given my love of comic books, star wars, and video games... And of course I do it all kilted!

My stethescope. At the hospital, you can clearly tell what caste someone is in by their clothes. Scrubs, no 'scope? PCT. Scrubs, with 'scope? Nurse. Lab coat, no 'scope? Lab tech. Lab coat, with 'scope? Care provider (MD, PA, NP).

(big annual camping trip with 100+ of my closest friends) of course I'll be kilted while camping... would never think of camping any other way

There's a few things I'm known for.
-My wife- We've been together for nearly 5 years. We got married this March. Not really a long time, but I'm only 22... That, and she has curly light brown hair and green eyes and is about the friendliest person you'll ever meet... people tend to remember her.
-My mutton Chops- I started growing them because I was sick and tired of shaving. Now, 2 years later, they are a signature part of my look. People tell me I look Irish or Scottish with them, and I love it.
-My belt buckle- Skull and crossbones. I wear it with everything from jeans to kilts to a suit and tie. And it cost me less than $2. Enough said.
-Music- I frequently get told I play too many instruments. I currently play guitar, bass, and drums, and I'm learning to play the tin whistle and accordion, and I will soon pull out my violin and start practicing again.

Mmmmmmmmm... I make jalapeno jelly but I bet habanero is goooood.
And now back to our regularly scheduled topic:
I really have no "official" distinguishing things associated with me. I am different things to different people. To some people, I'm the guy that makes awesome baklava. To others, I'm the crazy guy who drives his Jeep down snowmobile trails at ludicrous speeds (stupid trees...). Lately I have been referred to as the guy with the cool looking dog (Hungarian Vizsla).
Actually, now that I think about it, I am known for my cooking. All of my friends and family have a favorite dish of mine and expect me to make it for parties, dinners, or just because they want it. I even had a friend once who gave me a calendar where at least once a month there was a day circled that was a real or imagined holiday in which I could make her a pecan pie.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world...
Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

I don't know if it counts as an "item" but I am almost 7 feet tall. People tell me that makes me stand out a bit. It's a bit annoying as people I only met in passing remember me on account of my height, and will act as though I should remember them. I tell them that when I meet someone, I just assume that I've met them before but forgot their name.
Other than that, church and kayaks. That seven foot tall preacher who likes to build kayaks - that's me!
