Hi Warhoover.Trust me to get on the wrong side of a CPO!I should have phrased my last sentance more clearly.Yes, I knew that The Argylls were in that picture, but what I meant to say was: Apart from the millitary use, I have never seen that form of panel on a civilian Kilt.Has anyone? Sorry for the confusion.

I had forgotten what a dreich day in Glasgow looks like but at least you were dressed for it. Thank goodness the dancers were under cover at least. I believe this was the first year there was no Scottish band in the top three.
The Scotland on tv site has coverage of it if you want moving pictures and sound - http://www.scotlandontv.tv/

Excellent pics, David. Thanks for braving the rain to bring back some pics to share with xmarks. Yesterday we visited a cousin of Ann's who had been there on Saturday and he gave us his report on this wet event, and he mentioned that he thought the backdrop of the Peoples' Palace made a lovely setting for the pipe music. I must join you there next year.

Phil, do you mean in the Grade 1? I think it was FMM, SFU and Shotts in that order for the overall.

Wonderful photos David, I would love to see that live one day, thanks for posting them and braving the weather, although you are most likely getting used to it by now.
