So you live in Wyoming. Since I do not recognize the establishment of any state after 1862, you live in a territory. That makes you a federal citizen under the Constitution. ( My god he is getting esoteric), which means as a citizen of the Great Commonwealth of Virginia, which stretches beyond Wheeling, (Oh my God, here he goes again) and (I think that is a run on sentence), if you invite me to you territory, I will gladly come kilted and hoist a brew or two.

    PS

Loved Wyoming while I was there.

I love Wyoming. It's the least densely populated of the lower 48 and I don't like crowds. And, of course, there's Yellowstone.

515,004 as of the 2006 numbers. For the whole state. That makes it, lets see, a little over 5 people per square mile.

That's pretty darned crowded by the local standards.

    Born in Wyoming!

Well, I was born in Wyoming a few years back. I'm one of seven living Wyoming natives (well, how many do YOU know???).

Now I live in Montana, which is located a bit north of Wyoming on most days, and I wear kilts as frequently as possible (but not nearly frequently enough).

    So I think I count as a Wyoming kilt-wearer!

Well, in pre-kilt days I worked the Shirley Basin Uranium mine in 1962. That is north of Medicine Bow, Wyoming. And I have a cousin Bob in Bozeman....

    Medicine Bow?

I seem to recall that this was where The Virginian was set!

    Aye McClef,

I rode the dog to Medicine Bow from Portland, Oregon. A long trip for a boy of 17. Spent the night in the Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow and hitch hiked to the mine the next day. Lots of hours by the road, just me and the prairie. Few cars coming by back then.

We worked six days at the mine and Saturday night someone would bring in a keg from Medicine Bow and we'd party all night, then play softball and finish the keg on Sunday. Lived in a real bunkhouse...amazing times.

Think if I'd been kilted back they I'd have been escorted back to the highway. A tough lot miners.

That would be because of The Virginian Hotel, that still operates there to this day.

I wonder if the rest rooms are still "down the hall" at the Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow, Wyoming...
