There are no tartan police!

The fashion police are everywhere! The tartan division of the fashion police is perhaps one of the most hush-hush sections in operation, but they are out there. I have encountered them..... They are usually disguised as clueless interlopers who just stride up and ask you what family tartan is being worn.

Don't be fooled, as soon as you turn your back they call it in and you get a sticky note on your file! Or worse! a permanent notation. Very pervasive indeed.

Actually at Union Station (Washington, D.C.) on night shift security it was pretty dreary in the morning on the bitter end of a 12 hour shift. We would occasionally amuse ourselves by randomly accosting sleep walking commuters coming off the New York Train.

We were attired in tasteless bright red sportcoats and blue and gold striped ties. Thusly clothed we would flash our impressive looking Special Police badges and announce "Fashion Police! my partner observed you commiting a PWS 219 violation. Paisley with stripes. Is there anything you want to tell me?".

Well sometimes the poor guys (if you value your life, never do this to a lady) were so half asleep they would take it serious and start stammering about what the salesperson at Brooks Brothers told them. Most of them would just check out our attire and have a good laugh.

So I know the fashion police are real, I was one. Erego - the tartan police must also be real. And now I have them beat

I was going to hold the pics until I finish my review of the stillwater line but this is a gorgeous tartan. Will try to tack one on this thread in the next 24.

Well I have been holding off on posting pics of my Stillwaters. I have been wearing them and working on a review of the whole line. I now have 2 heavyweights, 3 standards, 2 economy, and 1 thirfty.

But since a request was made for pics, that was read by me on my twenty-third Birthday (the twenty-third one to fall on an odd numbered year ) Here are a couple of pics of my weathered MacKenzie.

Please bear in mind that these are at the end of an 11 hour day at the warehouse and after nearly two hours driving. I understand that I am wearing boots with hose and flash.

I wanted to check out those wide calf hose from Matt and the boots are required at work.

I really enjoy the colors in the tartan. Being able to wear these and throw them in the washer is great. I am going for a Royal Stewart, and a Nightstalker and that will round out my SWK kollection.

The tag says that this kilt is 100% acrylic.

I tend to wear the kilt a bit low to work. Putting the waistband right under my "short ribs" takes the hem to top of the knee.
