Well what can I say, I have three separate strains of Campbell blood in my veins, but my wife who is of Clan Donald married me anyway (she didn't know it when she married me). We Campbells have mellowed out a bit over the past 400 years or so.

The problem with us Campbells is that we mix too well... and frequently with the wrong people!

Funny story about our campbell relation:
My aunt, who actually prefers to associate herself with her campbell heritage, went over to Fordell, Scotland; one of the Henderson territories of old. She would tell the locals that she was a Campbell from the states, and when she said that, they'd say "Campbell!?" and spit at her feet!
But yeah, I've met a few campbells. They seem to be pretty decent sorts.

I have to agree with this. Her heritage is part of your background as well. It's awfully easy to get caught up in the Scottish heritage because of the very strong symbol of the kilt. Find a way to bring her heritage into your life.
