Number 200: My Weathered Gordon Box Pleat

Look what was waiting on my doorstep today! Mr. Newsome comes through again!

A beautiful kilt in Weathered Gordon Strome from Lochcarron's old and rare collection. The fit and finish are excellent, from my short wearing of the garment. I must say, though I was aware of it, these box pleats don't develop the swing and swish of a knife pleat. Nor does the Hamish pleat sweep work the same. But Matt's signature interior strap is way cool. The 4 yarder is well-balance front to back, and I was pleasantly surprised at how light-weight it feels for a 16-oz kilt. After a quick pressing of the apron I got out in the 100-degree heat to get the first shots of it. The pics speak for themselves.

I will wear it to work tomorrow - Thank G*d for A/C!!

A nice looking tartan and you look real sharp in that kilt.
    But...................
your 200th Kilt ???!!! That's even more of an addiction than Hamish's.

Wow that is very nice! I think the two strap system is elegant in it's simplicity and pracicality.

That looks great, congratulations on your new kilt. I am almost sure that the 200 is in reference to this thread about Matt Newsome's 200th kilt

Congratulations on your 200th kilt, now you need 100 Thorfinn Custom Sporrans, Luckily I know the maker, I can get you a deal with a small markup of course. Wonderful colours Turpin, with a nod to Matt for his awsome work and benchmark.
