My only regrets are not having more kilts and like some of the others I wished I had started wearing them sooner...

I regret that I am unable to wear a kilt as often as I would like. There are work constraints, etc.
But that's about it.
Oh, yeah, I regret not having one of those Isle of Skye and X-marks kilts . . . yet.

And I should be thankful that it was never a problem at home (birth or married). Even my brats thought my kilt was a better choice than what I usually wear.
ArchAngel,
Too big to wear the kilt? Think Feileadh Mhor, the Grand Kilt, man! I enjoy wearing my feileadh beg but I really love wrapping up in that big plaid!!

Now here's an idea - but presumably goes beyond the boundaries of good taste:
Embed a dandelion flower in a clear resin disc. That way you'll have a real one to wear forever, out of season or not. Sorry. Wash my mouth out.

Oh, hell yes, I have regrets. But, since that's hindsight for historical records keeping I'll save it and tell you that I like the fact that I now am a kilter, years later than I ought to have been!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Actually it was a specific kilt that I've outgrown.
