I'm rather hoping that they're not considering kilts, kilt jackets and sporrans as "luxury" items. I'm sure that you can find a pair of trousers for three or four hundred bucks but you can find a pair for ten bucks... while there are the acrylic kilts available at a moderate price, there's really no "cheap" alternative to kilts. All the duties and tariff stuff just doesn't make sense in the case of things like kilts...TV's maybe...but not kilts.
We just had a rather brilliant editorial in the Chicago Tribune this morning about tariffs and protectionism and how they are actually hurting the economy of the State of Illinois...go figger!
