I think Jameson's and the other Irish whiskeys are a good choice for introducing new whiskey drinkers to the water of life. The Irish whiskeys tend to have a comfortable mildness of flavor; they're an easygoing drink. A bit delicate, even, and subtle. Once a person has developed a taste for Irish whiskey, it's much easier to make the leap to the more complex and robust palettes of Scotch whisky and American bourbon whiskey.

    My Dear Jamie,

I am so disappointed. To even suggest that gentleman would ever drink whisky from the wrong glass. We refined folk know that brandy glasses are for brandy and whisky glasses are for whisky, and never the twain shall meet.
