I don't have a Thrifty-Kilt of my own, but I've examined one that I bought for a friend. I DO have an economy Irish National from SWK, and would wear the economy or a thrifty anywhere that I'd wear a SportKilt (and I do wear Sportkilts out, from time to time).

And of course SWKs all come with a 24" length, better for you.
