Many years ago, when I was in college, we were sitting in the cafeteria one afternoon playing poker and listening to Maggie may for the 4,978th time, I heard what I thought was pipe music. I got up from the table and wandered out to the music building. There was a piper playing facing the wall. I guess I stood there for an hour listening. I had never seen a piper before. I just happened to turn around and there was at least 50 people standing with me. When the piper stopped and droppedthe mothpiece, the crowd erupted in applause. He was visibly shaken at the reaction. I don't think he expected the crowd. I never saw him again. Maybe we drove him inside. Man, I just love the pipes.

Boy, when I saw the first pic I thought it was taken in Flagstaff, Arizona. Not uncommon to see pipers in the alleys warming up for a downtown performance. Must be the acustics of the alleyway that pipers like....??
