Turns out I should have worn the kilt. Both the vendor trainer and our corporate trainer said it would be fine. Came up when one o' the lads asked me why I was wearing p*nts.
The instructor kept coming back to the topic for comic relief, should have just worn it. I am sure the District Manager appreciates my gesture though. Tomorrow - Free again!
If I recall this scenario has played out before (or I just had a premonition). In future cases sch as these, when a brother kiltie is told to wear grape smugglers he should keep kilt-kit in the car. At the first sounds of "should've worn the kilt" in a flash our kilted hero can save the day.

Could not agree more! Let this be the law of our people hence. From this rule I will not soon stray

Can't wear shorts at work, never asked about kilts. Most of my day is spent up on ladders and climbing in and out of attics. I don't think granny would like to walk up and see me crawling out of her ceiling in a kilt.
We did get one service call and I went with my boss. turns out it was for a lil old lady that is used to seeing me about town in a kilt and acted rather disappointed that I wasn't in it. Was very vocal about it, got a good chuckle from my boss though.

My dad has always felt that the kilt wasn't appropriate outside of Celtic events, so at his mother's funeral I went in pants. I even wore a tie that day.
I think it was right to do that, but under any other circumstances I would have gone in a dark kilt.
