I would like for everyone to think about all of the people who not only help out that day. But are helping out every day. Such as Military(sp?) all branches, Peace officers, Firefighters, Medical personal, and last but not least to the people who trained them. For if they were not properly trained then we could have lost more lives. I think that some people only see the actions of the people who help out and forget that they were trained by someone. Let us remember the people who train other people.

Also, let us not forget that one of our own members, Glassman, was injured at the Pentagon on that fateful day.

I worked for I/B/E/S International, on the 18th floor of One World Trade Center. I wasn't there that day -- I'd left my job a couple of months before, to return to Arizona and school. Friends of mine, however, were there, and were scarred both mentally and physically by the experience.

I'm hiding in bed until the end of the week, to avoid all the shows and memorials about it.

    Unhappy Amen and Thank you!

I had thought of posting a message to honor the day yesterday, but had decided against it. I must say how touched I am by the sentiments expressed by the people who have posted in this thread.

I was in the WTC on 9/11/01 and still remember the moment of impact of the plane. I was fortunate enough to get out unharmed, but three people in my extended family were lost. I also knew the Fire Dept Chaplain who was killed there.

So I join you in thinking of them and all the others lost that day and since, as a consequence of the attack. I include the two firemen who were just killed in a building across the street from where the Towers stood and which has been waiting for demoltion for these past six years.

MacWage, I thought that your attire was a wonderful tribute to all of them.

    Thank you.

With your background, THAT means A LOT!
All my connections were friends of friends, though I had been in the plaza between the towers just 2 months before the infamous attack (I bough a cheap NYC taxi toy from the street vendor there to remember the occasion).
