    I went to the Tartan Ferret and entered Wompet's tartan Sackett and sure enough... Now that is impressive and having admired his kilt a few times in person I think Gary has something to be very proud of, a gift for his children and grand-children.

    I like what you've done with the revision. Between the two, I almost feel like I want to like the green more, but in fact I prefer the overall look of the blue. With the green, I think it's the dark red that's not doing it for me. Brown or pale blue or thistle-y purple would make me like the green more, but that shade of blue you're using really works with the dark red. To my eye, anyway.

    I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the woven fabric when you get to that stage!

    I like the blue better
    there is more contrast and will show better when you pleat it
