Sport kilt has a hawaiian print kilt or did. But liviing here in hawaii, and wearing kilts myself and seeing aloha shirts every day. Its my humble opinion is that hawaiian print does not belong on a kilt or anywhere near it. but thats just my personal opinion. Seems rather cheesy to me. leave the hawaiian print to the lava-lavas where it belongs.

I have to confess that I am guilty of making kilts and other folded items - English smocks for instance, out of anything that can be persuaded into a corrugated waveform - I use a one inch wide cotton tape to weight down the hem and also protect it from stress and fraying.

I normally buy it in white and dye it to the base colour of the kilt as required. I do sometimes come across odd rolls of coloured tape, I have black and khaki for instance, which I buy as it will always come in handy.

I don't know. I've thought of getting one to wear around the pool.

I considered one in the past, but didn't think I'd wear it in Ontario, Canada, so I stuck with SK solids and tartans. They had at least three colour combinations; white with royal, navy or black. I don't see them on their site now. They did look sharp, though.

to each there own. I just see that loud hawaiian print every single day, you cant get away from it over here. People even wear it as formal wear over here. its nice to strap on a kilt and separate yourself from that, and know youre the best dressed guy around. Tartans far nicer and meaningful. if you want to go and get a hawaiian print kilt, who am I to tell ya any different. I was just giving my opinion, of course living in hawaii i have little different point of view i suppose

    That looks interesting.
Since there are folks living in Hawaii who have the same common Irish ancestors as myself do you think I could justify a Hawaian print kilt.
